Simply Ihsan™ / The Art of Building an Online Business
We're building something worth doing, in a way worth living.
For heart-centred Muslim women who'd love to turn what they know into something useful: a beautiful online home, a course to share, and a business that serves people well.
And one that leaves space for family, faith, rest and the other things that matter. Because having more choice over how we spend our time is part of the dream, too.

Build a life around what matters.
01 / The possibility
Good work. And room for a life.
There's something wonderful about being able to take what you've learned, something you've spent years studying, or an idea you've carried around for ages, and make it useful to other people.
You might teach what you know. Create resources that make someone's day easier. Build a course people can return to again and again. Earn an income through work you care about, while contributing something good.
And wouldn't it be lovely if the business gave you more say over your time, rather than gradually taking up every available hour?
Time for family, your relationship with Allah, looking after yourself, a quiet afternoon now and then, or plans that have nothing to do with work.
There is work involved, especially when you're starting. I just think we should be thoughtful about the kind of working life we're creating from the beginning.
We can make space for the things that matter while we build something we're proud of.
a quiet afternoon now and then
01 / Simply Ihsan™
Less but better.
Work out what really deserves attention instead of trying every idea at once.
02 / Simply Ihsan™
Small steps consistently.
Learn, try things, make changes. Build in a way you can keep up with.
03 / Simply Ihsan™
Everything has its time.
Begin with the season you're in, not the schedule someone else is following.
02 / A note from Kate
I was always more comfortable building things than putting myself out there.
And it took me a while to see what was missing.
For years I built platforms, created courses, taught students and hosted online learning programs for Muslim audiences. I loved that work, and I had students who returned to learn with me again.
But I hadn't put nearly the same effort into building an audience. I'd been quite happy behind the scenes. Eventually I reached a point where I was seriously thinking about packing the whole thing in.
Then women began approaching me who already had audiences. They had people who trusted them, and ideas for courses and programs. They needed help turning those ideas into a working online home.
So I helped them build it. And they did brilliantly.
They had the people. I knew how to build the platform and product.
It made me look at my own business differently. I'd spent years developing two of the most important pieces, but I'd neglected the third.
That's how I came to think about the Three Ps: Platform, Product and People. They're connected, and you don't necessarily need to build all three from scratch. We look at what you've already done, where the gaps are, and what would be useful to work on next.
— Kate
03 / Platform · Product · People
Three parts of a business. They need to work together.
Sometimes you're ready to teach but have nowhere to host a course. Sometimes the platform is built and you're still working out how to reach people. We begin with what's there.
01
Platform
Your website, classrooms, registration, email and the practical systems that keep things running.
02
Product
Your course or educational offer: what you're creating, who it helps and how people will learn from it.
03
People
The people you're here to serve and the ways they'll find you, get to know your work and stay connected.
04 / What we'll build
From an idea to something you can actually use.
We'll plan around where you're starting, but I want our three months together to produce something tangible. These are the three pieces we'll work towards.
01 / Platform
Your online home.
A working Kajabi setup with the essential pages, course area and connections agreed for your business. I'll guide you through using Kajabi and Claude to build and customise it yourself.
Something you know how to manage and change without relying on someone else for every update.
yours to run ✓
02 / Product
Your first course.
We'll choose a useful direction, work through the modules and lessons and give your course a proper structure. Recording lessons is a further aim where your time and progress allow.
At minimum: an outlined course, with a clear plan for creating the lessons.
start with what you know
03 / People
A way to reach your audience.
We'll look at who you want to teach or serve, what they need to hear from you and how to reach them. That might mean your first email signup and a simple content plan you can realistically maintain.
A practical starting point for building a relationship with the right people.
the right people, not all of them
You'll be doing the building, with my guidance, demonstrations, feedback and troubleshooting. The exact pages, course work and audience activities will depend on what you've already created and the time you can commit.
Real experience / Jannah Institute
Kajabi was a game changer for us.
“Kajabi itself has been a game changer.”
Ranaa Ahsan / Media & Admin Support / Jannah Institute
Jannah Institute had been using separate platforms for its website, classes and registrations. Managing them together was costing time and money and created unnecessary work for the team.
Moving those functions into Kajabi meant fewer disconnected systems and less repetitive administration. It also made things easier for the students, who could register and access their classes in one place.
For the team
More of the everyday administration in one place, with repetitive tasks automated.
For their students
Registration and learning from one platform, with a simpler experience getting into class.
“Without Sr. Kate this entire process would have been a lot more difficult.”
05 / The Art of Online Business
Six micro journeys in the art of building.
These are the areas I draw on when helping women create their online businesses. I'm developing each into a focused micro-course, with useful lessons and practical exercises of its own.
Foundations
The Art of Building with Purpose
Understanding what you're creating, who it's for and which direction makes sense to pursue first.
Where the idea takes shape.
Audience & content
The Art of Building an Audience
Finding your voice, communicating clearly and developing ways to stay in touch with people.
Build a connection.
Platform & systems
The Art of Platform Design
Websites, landing pages, classrooms, email and the things that need to work together behind the scenes.
Make it your own.
Program design
The Art of Program Design
Taking what you know and shaping it into lessons and learning experiences people can genuinely use.
Teach with care.
Launching & selling
The Art of Launching & Selling
Explaining your offer, creating a useful sales page and inviting people into your work without the pressure tactics.
Invite, don't chase.
Automations
The Art of Automations
Simple systems to help people enrol, receive what they've bought and get the information they need.
Make room for living.
About the micro journeys: This is the teaching collection I'm developing, not six finished courses currently available. In Build With Me, we'll work directly on the areas relevant to your business through personal guidance, existing resources and practical implementation. My intention is to create these as separate learning resources over time; any future access will be confirmed before it is offered.
06 / The experience
We'll work on it together. You'll learn how to keep going yourself.
When you can't work out why a page isn't doing what you expect, or you're not sure how to break your course into lessons, it's good to have someone to ask.
I'll show you the Kajabi tools, demonstrate ways to use Claude for your pages, help you work through decisions and give you honest feedback. I enjoy this part of the work, including the little things that need a second attempt.
You'll be in your own account, learning as we go. I don't want you to have to call a developer, a virtual assistant or me each time you want to change a heading or add a new lesson.
We'll take it step by step, around the time you really have available. No hustle, no requirement to copy someone else's pace. And there's room for a little fun in the making.
The aim is for you to feel supported while you're building, and capable of running it yourself afterwards.
In her words / Quran teacher & course creator
“You're very no-fluff. You tell me straight, and I need that because I don't have time to mess around.”

01 / We begin where you are
What have you already got?
A few ideas, an existing audience, lessons you've started recording, or a site you want to sort out. We'll begin with what's in front of us.
02 / We do the work
One useful step, then the next.
We'll choose priorities, make things, review what needs changing and keep the work moving without trying to do everything at once.
03 / You know your way around
Your platform is yours to run.
I'll explain the tools as we use them, so you understand the decisions, the pages and the systems you've put in place.
07 / Kind words
For the bits that feel unfamiliar.
“She has a wonderful ability to take technology that can feel unfamiliar and overwhelming and make the process so much easier, guiding you with patience and clarity every step of the way.”

08 / A few practical questions
A few things you might be wondering.
These are worth talking about before we start, so you know what the experience involves and what we'll be working towards.
I'm not particularly technical. Is that a problem?
Will you build my Kajabi site for me?
What if I already have a website or an audience?
How much time will I need?
Will I have my course recorded by the end?
Are the six micro-courses already included?
09 / The invitation
Build With Me.
If you've had an idea for a while, or you've already made a start and want help bringing the pieces together, I'd love to hear what you're working on.
Over three months we'll work on your platform, your first course and a way to begin reaching your audience. You'll learn to use the tools and make the decisions with personal guidance alongside you.
And I hope you'll enjoy the making of it. We can take the work seriously without turning it into a race.
How it works
- Tell me about your project using the form.
- Book a discovery call so we can talk it through.
